Good Day

Well today was a good one.
I lazily woke up to gleaming sun and blue skies. I achieved everything on the to-do list which included laundry, emailing lecturers various questions, getting all my Erasmus paperwork sorted (fucking finally!). I cooked a big batch of food that’s not pasta. Then I went for a walk and sat in a sunny spot in the park and got really into my new book: The Confession by John Grisham. This is the 3rd book I’ve read of his and I think he has fully become my favourite author. I’m only a few chapters in and I’m already stuggling to put it down.
I only had my language course in terms of uni, which started today, in the evening. I really enjoyed the lesson we had. It wasn’t language related but more getting to know one another. The group I’m in all seem really lovely and the subgroup I was working with were all so friendly and funny. I have high hopes that this is really going to sort out my Spanish language problem and my lack of friends problem. We did a quiz which had Spanish facts and customs included. Apparently, life expectancy here is, on average, 82.5 years old; one of the highest in the world. The Spanish open Christmas presents on January 6th, on the day of Epiphany, and they’re brought by the Three Wise Men as opposed to Santa. Instead of a Tooth Fairy, they have a rat called Perez that brings money when you loose your teeth.

I have a full day at uni starting at 9 in the morning, so I’m going to head to bed soon and try to survive the long ass day tomorrow.
