I mean, I can’t really say I ‘explored’ Valencia. We arrived late on Friday so only had time for dinner, (paella, which apparently originates in Valencia, and 4 jugs of tinto de verano. You can imagine our shock when the bill came),  and a quick drink before crashing out in bed. On Saturday, we spent the day on the beach which was B E A U T I F U L. La Playa de la Malvarrosa isn’t the most photogenic beach ever, and it’s obviously not the Caribbean Sea, but it was so lovely to be lounging on the beach, tanning and dipping every-so-often. Saturday night we went to a club in Valencia called Le Prem; it was fucking lit. I love going out with my friend who I was visiting in Valencia, because we both have the same idea of clubbing. The objective is to dance until you die; and that’s exactly what we did! We had planned to go sightseeing the next day, but both of us were far too knackered for that, so we just had a little walk around Benimaclet, which is a really cute little town with lots of remains and visible influences from the Moors. Up until the 1850s, Benimaclet, was its own little village, but now it forms part of Valencia city.

All in all, it was a lovely weekend! I’m 100% going to return, probably next semester during summer, and make sure I do some actual exploring and sightseeing.

// Pues, no puedo decir que exploré Valencia. Llegamos muy tarde el viernes, entonces cenamos, tomamos una copa y después nos acostamos. El sábado, fuimos a la playa que fue bonita. La Playa de la Malvarrosa no es muy fotogénica, y obvio no es el Mar del Caribe, pero fue muy bien para descansar, tomar el sol y nadar un poquito. Durante la noche, fuimos a una discoteca, Le Premier, y nos gozamos muchísimas. Me encanta salir con mi amigo que vive en Valencia porque nos encanta bailar, y esto es lo que hicimos. Tuvimos la intención a ver los sitios turísticos el domingo, pero estuvimos muertas, entonces, andamos por Benimaclet, que es un pueblo muy adorable con los restos y influencias visibles de los Moros. Hasta los años de 1850, Benimaclet fue un aldea pero hoy en día forma parte de la ciudad de Valencia.

A fin de cuentas, fue un fin de fantástico. Volveré, quizás durante el verano, y aseguraré que hago las cosas turísticas.
