Named after their Mother, the restaurant was founded by a pair of British-Pakistani siblings. Zahida serves up a modern take on Pakistani food and drink. The cocktails have this south-Asian influence running through them too and they are soooo good! The restaurant itself has a laid-back, low key sexy, and intimate vibe to it. At the weekend, the menu consists of the regular tasting menu and the veggie tasting menu. Each dish was brought out and presented to us by the friendly, chatty waiters.
Each dish was incredibly delicious. The way everything was perfectly seasoned with balanced flavours. For example, in the first dish, the host turned waiter, (who was also mad good looking, ahem), mentioned there was strawberry caviar on the pakora. My Mum and I raised an eyebrow at each other, like what kind of pretentious bollocks, but then we actually tried it. Immediately, we had to eat our side-eye facial expressions, because it elevated and refreshed the flavour of the dish. This was seen in everything we ate, and boyyy, did we eat. My Mum and I have violent sweet tooths so for us to not have dessert means we were really & truly satisfied.
I enjoyed everything on the menu but I’d say that by virtue of making the veggie menu suitable for vegans too, I feel I missed out on some paneer, (or its specifically Pakistani equivalent), in the Butter Chana. The only thing is that they can only serve you tap water by the glass, as opposed to bringing a jug to the table. It’s not much of an issue seeing as the wait staff are very attentive, they’ll get you topped up quickly, but I thought it was a bit random.
As mentioned in my previous post, Copenhagen was expensive, so the tasting menu for 2, with one cocktail and one mocktail came to £127 in total. I know it’s on the spennier side but it’s 100% worth it – trust me! If you want to go for dinner you defo need to book, find them here.

Wow, definitely on the pricey side but the food looks great and so does the artwork and general restaurant vibe 😍

I’d definitely recommend it for a little weekend getaway – I can imagine it’s gorgeous in summer, especially as you can swim in the canals without fear of hypothermia!
